Blephadex Eyelid Wipes combine water, glycerin, and aloe vera to hydrate and soothe, with tea tree oil to help reduce Demodex mites and bacteria, and coconut oil to nourish sensitive skin. Mild cleansers such as decyl glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine help remove debris and build-up, while stabilisers and preservatives like phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, and ethylhexylglycerin keep the wipes effective and fresh.
While convenient and effective for blepharitis, crusty lids, or Demodex management, EyeHouse notes that phenoxyethanol and tea tree may not be ideal for daily long-term use on the delicate eyelid skin, particularly for those with sensitivities. These wipes are best used in targeted routines or short courses rather than as an everyday staple.
With clean hands, open one individually wrapped wipe after washing your face or showering. Gently close one eye and cleanse along the eyelash margins, first the lower lid, then the upper, using soft side-to-side motions. Then close your eye and wipe the lid crease. Flip the wipe to use the other side for the opposite eye.
Daily use helps cleanse away crust, softens debris, and can gently massage the eyelid margin, helping stimulate natural oil balance.
