For thorough facial cleansing, we recommend using our Cleansing Sponge, made with natural skin-friendly fibres. When new you will need to wet the sponge and it expands. Gently removes both face masks and make-up. The Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Sponge is easy to rinse, fast to dry, and can be machine washed at up to 60˚C.
The porous fibres allows for quick drying, keeping it hygienic.

Moisten the Cosmetic Sponge before using it to make it swell. The porous fiber allows for quick drying, keeping it hygienic.
You can wash the Cosmetic Sponge in the washing machine at 60 °C.

Q1. What is a cleansing sponge used for?
It provides gentle mechanical exfoliation and more thorough cleanser removal than fingertips alone. The soft texture lifts away dead skin cells and residue without the harshness of a brush or scrub.
Q2. Is it safe to use around the eye area?
Use it gently over the orbital area. Avoid pressing directly onto the eyelid or dragging across the lash margin. The sponge is soft but mechanical action near the eye should always be gentle.
Q3. How do I clean and store it?
Rinse thoroughly after every use, squeeze out excess water, and allow to air dry completely before storing. Replace regularly as sponges accumulate bacteria over time even with daily rinsing.

Q4. How often should I replace it?
Every four to six weeks, or sooner if it shows signs of discolouration or deterioration.
Q5. Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The Dr Hauschka cleansing sponge is designed to be gentle enough for sensitive skin. If your skin is very reactive, start with just the compress cloth and introduce the sponge gradually.
