Cleansing Cream deep cleanses, gently exfoliates, fortifies and refreshes, protecting the skin’s natural protective function for healthy, radiant skin. Cleansing Cream retains the skin’s natural hydro-lipid barrier while also preparing it for the next stages in the Dr. Hauschka skin care daily care routine.

Formulation: The highest quality medicinal plant extracts of calendula, chamomile and anthyllis, with creamy sweet almond meal, cleanse, balance and revitalise skin to minimise the appearance of pores. Almond meal is particularly adept at binding to dirt and eliminations.

TIP: We generally recommend Soothing Cleansing Milk as your evening cleanser and make-up remover and Cleansing Cream as your morning deep cleanser after the night time regeneration and elimination activity of your skin. Cleansing Cream may also be used as a secondary deeper cleanse in the evening after make-up removal with Soothing Cleansing Milk.
Usage

Cleanse in the morning and evening. Moisten face, neck and décolleté with a warm face cloth.

Mix 1-2 cm of Cleansing Cream with warm water in your palms to form a smooth, creamy emulsion.

Press mixture gently onto skin then roll hands up and away in a wave-like motion. Start in the centre of the forehead then slowly work outward and down. Do not rub, scrub or treat your skin harshly, it has to last you a lifetime. Avoid the eye area.

Repeat the press and roll action 2-3 times.

Rinse with warm water and always finish with a splash of cool water, which contracts a tiny muscle beside the hair follicle, and this simple technique ensures any last remaining dirt is washed away, plus it helps your skin feel silky-smooth.

Q1. Who is a cleansing cream suited for?
Dry, mature, and sensitive skin types. Cleansing creams are gentler than foam or gel cleansers and do not strip the natural oils that keep the skin barrier intact.
For anyone whose skin feels tight after washing, a cream cleanser is usually the right correction.
Q2. Is it safe around the eye area?
Yes. It is formulated without synthetic fragrance or harsh surfactants. It may be used gently around the eye area to remove light makeup, though a dedicated eye makeup remover is more effective for mascara and liner.
Q3. How do I use it?
Apply to damp skin, massage gently in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with warm water or remove with a damp cloth.
Do not leave residue on the skin. Incomplete rinsing is a common cause of periocular congestion.
Q4. Does it remove makeup?
It removes light daily makeup well. For heavy or waterproof eye makeup, use a dedicated remover first, then follow with the cleansing cream.

Q6. What is the difference between the cleansing cream and the cleansing balm at Dr Hauschka?
The cream has a lighter, more traditional cream texture suited to daily rinse-off cleansing. The balm is richer and oil-based, more effective at dissolving heavier or waterproof makeup. For normal daily cleansing, the cream is often the easier everyday choice.
Q7. What is the best gentle cleanser for mature or sensitive skin around the eyes?
A cream cleanser without synthetic fragrance or harsh surfactants supports the skin barrier better than a foaming formula. Dr Hauschka's Cleansing Cream is formulated specifically for dry, mature, and sensitive skin including the periocular area.
