Q1. What is an illuminating fluid and how is it used?
It is a lightweight tinted fluid that adds a subtle glow and light coverage to the skin. It can be worn alone as a natural finish or mixed with moisturiser for a sheer, skin-like effect.
For days when you want your skin to look alive but not made up, it sits between skincare and makeup.
Q2. Is it safe near the eye area?
Apply to the face and cheekbone area, avoiding the immediate eyelid and lash margin. Illuminating particles in some formulas can migrate into the tear film, so keep it away from the orbital zone.
Q3. Does it contain SPF?
Check the current product label. Some Dr Hauschka tinted products include sun protection, others do not. Do not assume SPF unless it is stated on the pack.
Q4. Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, NATRUE certified biodynamic plant ingredients.
Q5. How is it removed?
Your regular cleanser removes it. For any applied close to the eye area, use your dedicated eye makeup remover first before cleansing.
Q6. Can I mix it with my moisturiser for a lighter effect?
Yes. A few drops mixed into your day cream gives a very sheer, skin-tint effect that suits people who want the glow without any visible coverage. This is a common use for illuminating fluid in natural skincare routines.
Q7. What is the difference between an illuminating fluid and a tinted day cream?
An illuminating fluid has more radiance and light reflection and less coverage. A tinted day cream has more coverage and less glow. If you want to even your skin tone, tinted day cream. If you want to add luminosity without covering, illuminating fluid.
