Warm first with the gel mask, then massage with the combo massager while the glands are softened, then clean the lid margin with the CleanEyes wipes. Warm, massage, cleanse, in that order.
Heat softens the oils inside the meibomian glands so massage can actually express them. Massaging cold glands does very little, and cleaning before warming just moves debris around rather than clearing it properly.
About three minutes once you are used to it, seven to ten minutes for the heat mask itself plus a brief massage and wipe.
The glands along your lid margin produce the oily layer of your tear film that slows evaporation. When they become blocked or sluggish, tears evaporate too quickly regardless of how much you blink or how many lubricating drops you use.
Morning works well since it sets up gland function for the day ahead, though the same routine works equally well in the evening. Consistency matters more than the specific time of day.
Remove lenses before the heat mask and massage, then reinsert once you have finished cleaning your lids.
A short warm, massage, cleanse sequence performed daily addresses gland function directly rather than only managing dryness symptoms after the fact. This kit is built around exactly that three-minute clinical routine.
